A deciduous, upright, large shrub or small tree with mid-green, ovate leaves. Large, goblet shaped flowers, clear white with a pink tinge at the base, usually flowering in early spring on bare wood, before the plant produces leaves. Flowers may be susceptible to damage from frost.
