How to Grow

Cultivation

Plant in early spring in a moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Protect in colder areas with a deep, dry mulch over winter. See nerine cultivation and nerine bowdenii trial 2012-2017

Propagation

Propagate by division after flowering or by bulb chipping. Propagation by seed is possible with some nerines, but may be difficult as the seeds are very fleshy, don't store well and plants grown from seed can take up to 7 years to flower. See bulb propagation for further advice
