Trees
A large, broadly conical deciduous tree, rare in cultivation, about 20m tall, with pale grey bark, ridged at maturity, and green flushed red shoots. The broad, green leaves to 13cm long are yellow-green beneath and turn golden in autumn. Fragrant pale yellow flowers in clusters of up to 12 flowers are borne in midsummer
