An early, dessert apple, one of a series of Swiss-bred, red-fleshed cultivars, with dark red skin and fine-grained, crisp, juicy, dark red flesh with a refreshing, sharp flavour. Rather weak trees produce rich pink blossom in spring, the fruit ripening in early autumn and storing to mid-winter. Requires a group 1 or 2 pollinator
