A strong, slow-growing, spreading, clump-forming rhizomatous perennial to around 35cm in height, with basal rosettes of lobed and toothed green leaves. Large, single frilly cream flowers flushed with pink on the edges and veins appear from spring to early summer

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Avoid areas that are waterlogged over winter. Divide every three years or so to maintain vigour
