A vigorous deciduous shrub to 1.2m high with broadly oval, serrated green leaves. Compact, dome-shaped clusters of flowers, with clearly separated, diamond shaped petals, are produced in summer. Flower colours vary depending on the pH of the soil, from pale rose pink to lavender and pale blue
