A deciduous shrub to 1.5m high with broadly oval, toothed, bright green leaves and contrasting near-black stems. Compact, dome-shaped clusters of flowers, with lightly serrated edges to the petals, are produced in summer. Colours vary depending on the pH of the soil, flowers are deep rose pink on neutral soil

Cultivation
