A compact, rounded, deciduous shrub to around 60cm tall and wide with ovate, dark green leaves to 7.5cm long that turn attractive shades of purple and bronze in autumn. Panicles of small flowers are borne in late spring and early summer; petals are pink with white margins on the outside and white with a soft pink tint on the inside
