A slowly spreading, mound- or mat-forming, evergreen perennial to about 10cm high, with small, hairy, mid-green to grey-green leaves. Pale lavender-purple, four-petalled flowers, that fade to almost white towards their centres are produced in short spikes from mid-spring to early summer.
