A tall, tuberous-rooted perennial to about 1.2m, with mid-green foliage. Very large, ruffled flowers, around 27cm across, have long, slightly twisted petals in pale pink streaked with darker pink, and are produced from mid-summer until the first frost

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, enriched with organic matter, in full sun. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and stake - see staking perennials. Propagation

Propagate by softwood cuttings taken in spring from shoots from stored tubers, or Divide the tubers, ensuring each section has at least one viable bud

Pruning
