A multi-stemmed shrub or small tree to 3m. Leaves sinuate, ellliptic and pointed, dark-green to reddish bronze in summer, turn red, pink and gold in the autumn. Masses of pure white flowers in June against green foliage, create a cascading fountain effect and weigh down the branches. The flowers are followed in autumn by small strawberry-like red edible fruit.
