A mid-season, medium to large, dessert apple with yellow skin flushed with dark red, and prone to cracking round the eye. Flesh is greenish-white, soft and juicy, lightly aromatic with a rich flavour at its best, but often disappointing in UK conditions. Crops regularly in early autumn, fruit keeping to late autumn. Requires a group 3, 4 or 5 pollinator
