A semi-evergreen clump-forming perennial to about 35cm tall, with leathery, matt green leaves split into 3 to 5 broad segments. Short stems or branched clusters of flat flowers appear in mid winer to mid spring. These are usually white or white with a green marking down the centre of each petal, often developing peach tints as they mature
