Deciduous, large tree with mid-green, ovate leaves, softly hairy on the underside, reaching over 20m in height. Flowers are cup-shaped, rich magenta and abundant once the tree is established, usually flowering in early spring before the leaves emerge; a seedling of 'Lanarth' originally at Caerhays, Cornwall

How to Grow

Cultivation
