A medium-sized deciduous tree with an upright habit, especially when young, later spreading to a slender oval-shaped crown. Leaves are lobed and deep green, turning orange and yellow in the autumn. Inconspicuous yellow-green flowers are produced in spring, followed by winged seeds in autumn
