A compact, clump-forming perennial producing stems to 40cm high and dark purple deeply cut foliage turning darker green as the season progresses then dark red in autumn. Clusters of bright violet-blue flowers are produced above the foliage from spring to summer. A cross between 'Nimbus' and 'Victor Reiter' and said to be drought and mildew resistant
