'Lilacina' is a spreading, bushy, evergreen shrub with small, spine-tipped, dark green leaves. Small white flowers in early summer are followed, when pollinated by another variety, by rosy-lilac berries about 1cm across

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grows well in acidic, naturally peaty but well-drained soils in partial shade. Will tolerate full sun if soil is constantly moist. Remove suckers to restrict growth. Requires a male plant nearby to produce berries

Propagation

Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings in summer. Rooted suckers can be detached and potted up in spring
