A deciduous climber, to around 3m, with narrow, slightly blue-green three-part leaves. Nodding, broadly bell-shaped flowers are produced in mid to late summer, with thick, orange-yellow petals mottled with reddish purple on the outsides. Flowers are followed by silky seed-heads that persist into winter
