A compact, free-flowering, deciduous climber to around 120cm in height, with fresh green leaves. Pale, violet-blue, wavy flowers, maturing to pure white with red-tipped anthers, appear from May to July with a second flush from September to October. Best grown in a pot or container with support, or left to scramble through other plants in beds and borders in a sunny or partly shaded area

How to Grow

Cultivation

Plant in a moisture-retentive, well-drained soil, with the roots and base of the plant kept cool and shaded by other plants or a layer of pebbles at the base. Plant with the crown 5-8cm deep to encourage new shoots to grow from below ground level. See clematis cultivation
