A compact, mound-forming herbaceous perennial, with green, narrowly-lobed foliage on stems to 50cm (20in) high and 1m (39in) across. In summer, saucer shaped, mid-pink flowers with a dark purple eye and veins appear in profusion above the foliage.

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in any moderately fertile soil apart from waterlogged soils. For best growth and flowering, plant in full sun or partial shade.

Propagation

Propagate by division in spring, or take basal cuttings in early to mid-spring and root with bottom heat.
