A rare, slow-growing, dense hardy form of holly to around 3m in height, with a pyramid-shaped habit. The characteristics are similar to 'Latispina' with purple bark and oval-shaped, green leaves, but with larger, more irregularly-shaped, glossy green leaves and a larger number (four or five) of spines down each side of the leaf. White flowers appear in the spring. This variety does not produce berries, but is an ideal pollinator for female cultivars
