A large, deciduous shrub to about 2m or more, with mid to dark green leaves, and conical flowerheads, produced in summer and autumn, the flowers are a profusion of small, creamy, fertile florets, mingled with large, white-aging-to-pink, infertile florets, creating a lacy effect

Cultivation
