Hydrangea macrophylla 'Beauté Vendômoise' (L)

A deciduous shrub to 2m high, with ovate, serrated glossy green leaves. In summer, produces lightly scented, broad lace-cap flower heads with small clusters of tiny fertile flowers, almost hidden by crowds of very large, pale-coloured florets with widely separated petals. Flower colour varies depending on the pH of the soil, from pale pink to lilac to pale blue
