A vigorous perennial coneflower about 1m tall, with narrowly oval, rich green leaves. Daisy-like flowerheads to 10cm wide, with broad, overlapping deep reddish-pink horizontal ray-florets surrounding an orange-brown central cone, appear from midsummer to autumn
