    • Excellent for ordinary use in appropriate conditions
    • Available to buy
    • Of good constitution
    • Essentially stable in form & colour
    • Reasonably resistant to pests & diseases

Talks, demonstrations and displays linked to the Dahlia Trial. Featuring flower and photo displays, plant sales, educational displays and the chance to ask the experts your questions. More about the National Dahlia Society. See a draft programme for the day.

Erica carnea f alba Springwood WhiteHeather Society event - 27 September

Meet at the Wisley entrance at 10.30am for a tour of the National Heather Collection. After lunch (12.30-2pm) visit the Hillside Events Centre for an illustrated presentation of heathers in gardens and their natural habitats, a demonstration of growing Erica from seed, plus plant sales from John Hall Plants and advice from the experts. Join the Heather Society on the day to receive a special pack of six heathers. Refreshments available to buy.

Primula CherryAlpine Open Day  – 1 October

Join experts and enthusiasts from the world of alpine and rock garden plants at this joint RHS, Alpine Garden Society (AGS) and Scottish Rock Garden Club (SRGC) open day.

Talks, practical demonstrations, a photographic exhibition, and other activities will be held at the Hillside Events Centre. There will also be plant sales at the Wisley Plant Centre and by other specialist alpine nurseries, an open session of the Joint Rock Garden Plant Committee, and guided tours of the Wisley Rock Garden and Alpine Department.
