E. chihuahuaensis is an evergreen, perennial succulent forming rosettes of leaves to 10cm in diameter. The glaucous, pointed leaves have red markings near the tips and small yellow flowers are held on stems, up to 25cm tall, above the foliage in spring
'Victor Reiter' has large stemless rosettes of thickly fleshy brownish-purple leaves tipped with red, and sparse red flowers
'Compton Carousel' is a variegated evergreen perennial, to 15cm tall and wide. The rosettes of succulent blue-green leaves have wide, cream-coloured margins, and in summer, urn-shaped, red and yellow flowers are borne on erect stems
'Worfield Wonder' is a succulent perennial to 25cm with rosettes of blue-green leaves and profuse orange-red bell-shaped flowers, yellow within
'Bittersweet' grows to 30cm with a short bare stem bearing a rosette of light mahogany-red leaves with crimped edges, and bell-shaped red and yellow flowers
E. gibbiflora var. metallica is a succulent evergreen perennial forming short-stemmed rosettes of spoon-shaped, wavy-edged, metallic bronze-green leaves to 20cm long; racemes of bell-shaped reddish flowers are yellow inside
'Perle von Nürnberg' forms an evergreen rosette of fleshy, obovate leaves with a purplish-grey sheen, developing a short stem with age; flowers light red, in panicles to 45cm
E. secunda var. glauca is a succulent perennial forming clusters of rosettes of narrowly wedge-shaped, pale glaucous-grey leaves, with one-sided cymes to 30cm in height, of nodding, urn-shaped red and yellow flowers
'Frank Reinelt' is an evergreen perennial forming a rosette of thick, dark green leaves with red margins and tips, becoming more colourful in sun and in winter; urn-shaped pale green and pink flowers in dense clusters
E. setosa is an evergreen succulent with stemless rosettes of spoon-shaped green leaves covered with dense white hairs; urn-shaped red and yellow flowers are borne in one-sided racemes from late spring
