It is included in an evolving list of plants carefully researched and chosen by RHS experts. Divided into 3 groups these lists, linked below, are maintained by a team of RHS staff and are reviewed annually.
'Goldsturm' is an herbaceous perennial forming a clump to 60cm in height, with erect stems bearing narrowly ovate leaves and dark-eyed, deep yellow flowers to 12cm across
'Indian Summer' is an erect biennial with bristly stems bearing lanceolate to ovate leaves and dark-centred, broad-rayed, golden yellow daisies to 12cm across in summer and early autumn
'Irish Eyes' is a short-lived perennial, usually grown as an annual, to 75cm in height, with classic daisy flowerheads produced from mid-summer to early autumn. Flowerheads are golden-yellow with narrow, slightly-tapered ray florets surrounding a pale-green "eye" that turns yellow-brown as the disc florets open
'Henry Eilers' is a clump-forming perennial growing to 1.2m tall. The green, lance to oval-shaped, toothed leaves have a mild, sweet aroma and are softly hairy. Flowers are borne on upright, branched stems in late summer to early autumn and are made up of narrow, quill-like, yellow ray florets surrounding a central brown cone
'Prairie Sun' is an erect biennial with bristly stems and leaves, and classic daisy-shaped flowerheads, 60-80cm, from high summer through to autumn. Flowerheads have a green centre surrounded by a warm gold ring and yellow-tipped petals
'Marmalade' is a short-lived perennial, usually grown as an annual, to 45cm in height, with bristly stems and lance-shaped leaves. The classic daisy flowerheads are golden-yellow with central, dark-brown cones and appear from mid-summer through to autumn
'Goldquelle' is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial to 90cm, with slightly lobed, dark green leaves and bright lemon-yellow, fully double flowers 8cm in width
R. laciniata is a rhizomatous perennial that bears yellow daisy-shaped flowerheads in late summer. With central green discs and drooping yellow petals they are held on tall wiry stems above deeply-divided foliage
R. fulgida var. deamii is a clump-forming, erect herbaceous perennial to 60cm, with oval, dark green, roughly hairy leaves and black-eyed bright yellow daisies to 7cm in width from late summer to mid autumn
R. maxima is a tall herbaceous perennial producing a mound of large, smooth, blue-grey leaves. The flowering stems rise to 1.5m, carrying yellow-petalled daisy flowers with central dark brown to black cones from midsummer to mid-autumn
