Gardening stars coming to RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2025

TV stars and gardening experts headline accross all five talks stages at the Festival. From hands-on horticultural know-how and houseplant design inspiration to delicious plot-to-plate demonstrations every day boasts an incredible line-up of personalities

Adam Alexander

Horticulturist, author and filmmaker Adam Alexander, aka The Seed Detective, dedicates his life to saving rare, endangered and delicious heritage vegetables seeds to sow, savour and share. Alexander will be on the Give it a Grow Stage on Friday

Adam Frost

Garden designer, TV presenter and motivational speaker Adam has won seven Gold medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. An RHS Ambassador, he seeks to inspire adults and children to garden. Adam will be on the Festival and Kitchen Garden Stages on Saturday and Sunday

Alan Titchmarsh CBE

Alan Titchmarsh is a gardener, writer, novelist, poet, concert presenter and broadcaster best known for programmes such as Ground Force, Gardeners’ World, Love Your Garden and The RHS Chelsea Flower Show. He has also presented the BBC Proms and hosts the Saturday afternoon show on Classic FM. Alan has written more than fifty gardening books, three volumes of autobiography and books on royalty. Alan will be on the Festival Stage on Friday

Anya Lautenbach

Famously known as Anya the Garden Fairy on social media, Anya has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers with her tips for gardening on a budget and for mental health. Anya co-designed the RHS Money-Saving Garden in 2024 and has since written two money-saving gardening books. Anya will be on the Give it a Grow Stage on Friday.

Chris Collins

Since graduating from Edinburgh Botanic Gardens, Chris has had a varied gardening career, including head gardener at Westminster Abbey, selling roses in Japan, working at Kew and even taking on the reins as the Blue Peter gardener. Chris is now head of horticulture at Garden Organic. Chris will be on the Potting Shed, Festival and Give it a Grow Stages on Friday.

Jonathan Moseley

As a floral designer for nearly 30 years, Jonathan has achieved international renown. An ambassador for British flowers and floristry, he demonstrates local, seasonal arrangements with flair and humour. Jonathan will be on the Festival, Potting Shed and Give it a Grow Stages throughout the Festival.

Frances Tophill

Gardener, conservationist, broadcaster and author. Known for appearing on BBC Gardeners’ World and ITV’s Love Your Garden, Frances Tophill is a gardener and passionate advocate for wildlife and nature. Frances will be on the Festival and Give it a Grow Stages on Saturday and Sunday.

Helen Cross

Scottish author, broadcaster and horticultural educator, Helen Cross, grew up on a farm on the southwest coast of Scotland and has a passion for encouraging everyone whether they are five or 85 to grow their own and cook seasonally to help the health of the planet as well as their own mental and physical wellbeing. Her first book, Grow, Cook, Inspire was published in 2023. Helen will be on the Kitchen and Give it a Grow Stages on Friday

Huw Richards

Huw Richards has been growing vegetables since his family moved to a smallholding in west Wales when he was a baby. Now Huw has a huge following on YouTube where he shares advice on being self-sufficient in fresh produce. He has also written many books on the subject including Veg in One Bed and The Permaculture Garden. Huw will be on the Give it a Grow Stage on Staurday

Jon Wheatley

Garden designer and grower Jon has won numerous RHS Gold medals and is an RHS judge. Jon is managing director of Stonebarn Landscapes based near Bristol. Jon will be on the Festival, Potting Shed, Give it a Grow and Kitchen Stages throughout the Festival

Leigh Johnstone

Leigh Johnstone aka ‘The Beardy Gardener’ is an award-winning garden designer, mental health campaigner, writer and broadcaster. He designed his first show garden in 2024, winning Gold for his design. Leigh has appeared on BBC Gardeners’ World, BBC News, Radio 5 Live and LBC and writes for various newspapers and magazines. He is also a contributor to several horticultural and wellbeing podcasts. Leigh will be appearing on the Give it a Grow Stage throughout the Festival

Marcus Bean

Self-taught chef, Marcus Bean, won Channel 4’s Iron chef UK in 2010. Marcus & his wife Jenny own and run an award-winning pub in Shropshire & the successful Brompton Cookery School. Marcus is a regular chef on ITV’s This Morning, a regular host & demonstrator at BBC Good Food Shows & gardening shows across the country. Alongside this Marcus works as a private chef and teaches clients to cook at home. Marcus will be on the Kitchen Garden Stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Mark Diacono

A food and garden photographer and writer, and champion of unusual fruit and veg, Mark has written and photographed 13 books. He has twice won Food Book of the Year and Garden Book of the Year. Mark will host the Kitchen Garden Stage throughout the Festival.

Martin & Jill Fish

Hosting this year’s Potting Shed Theatre is Martin and Jill Fish. Martin is a gardener, writer and RHS judge, who’s worked in the industry for four decades. Jill is a cook and recipe writer and together they tend a North Yorkshire garden. Martin and Jill will be hosting the Potting Shed Stage throughout the Festival.

Nicki Chapman

Nicki Chapman is a TV presenter and broadcaster, known to the nation as one of the faces on BBC One’s Escape to the Country and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. In January 2025, Nicki joined the Magic Radio family as the new host of the iconic evening show Mellow Magic. Nicki will host the Festival Theatre Stage throughout the Festival

Rachel de Thame

Rachel is a broadcaster, writer and gardener. Presenter on BBC Gardeners’ World and the RHS Show coverage, she writes gardening books and a magazine columns. Rachel curated the RHS London Rose Show and speaks at The Ashmolean Museum, The Garden Museum, Highgrove, Oxford Botanic Garden and The Royal Geographical Society. Rachel will be on the Festival and Kitchen Stages on Thursday and Friday.

Raymond Blanc OBE

Raymond Blanc OBE is the chef at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, in Oxfordshire, which holds two Michelin stars. A keen vegetable grower, the garden at Le Manoir supplies the restaurant with fresh produce. A self-taught cook, Raymond has written many cookery books and makes regular appearances on television. Raymond will be on the Kitchen Garden Stage on Thursday.

Sarah Gerrard-Jones

Sarah Gerrard-Jones, known to her half a million social media followers as The Plant Rescuer, is the author of three acclaimed books and a presenter on ITV’s Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club and has been featured on BBC Gardeners’ World. Sarah regularly writes for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, The Sunday Times and Gardens Illustrated. Sarah will be on the Give it a Grow and Festival Stages on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and the Festival of Houseplants Stage on Saturday.
