Embracing both her Australian upbringing and her Greek heritage, Katerina’s lifelong passion for gardens, nature, food, and the outdoors paved the way for a journey into garden design.

Upon relocating to the UK after careers in both fundraising, and science, Katerina retrained at The British Academy of Garden Design, leading to the establishment of her garden design studio in Crystal Palace, London.

Katerina’s approach to garden design combines the interplay of subtle curves with geometric patterns. Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes her designs integrate permeable materials and emphasise texture and pattern, incorporating vibrant colours. Katerina’s preference is for the hard landscape elements in a design to be uncomplicated, utilising clean lines to create fluidity and movement within the garden.

Katerina  says: “Designing a show garden allows me to be creative and offers me an outlet for my flair and my passions. Most importantly it gives me a chance to interact with visitors who ask me so many varying questions as they want to see and learn what’s possible in their own garden. Being part of a show garden allows me to share ideas and tips with people and to show them that garden design, in relation to their own gardens, is accessible and inspiring.”
