The Garden

The garden merges organic architecture with contemporary aesthetics to form an immersive, poetic space. A composition of slender white poles creates a rhythm of vertical enclosures that both reveal and conceal, encouraging exploration. Curved platforms offer tranquil resting spots, while diverse plantings enrich biodiversity and seasonal interest. The garden draws visitors in – sparking curiosity and contemplation. Blurring the lines between nature, art, and architecture, it transforms a transitional public space into a meditative retreat. 

Planting

The garden features four shaped specimen trees underplanted with a diverse mix of perennial plants. In line with the concept of the garden as a form of art, the planting design emphasises strong use of colour. Perennials are grouped by colour families, and within each group, species are arranged according to variations in size and texture to create painterly, layered compositions. The planting palette focuses on summer-flowering species, with dominant hues of red, yellow, white, purple, pink, light blue, and green. 

Key plants include burnet, sneezewort, cranesbill, border phlox, and soft shield ferns. 

Garden legacy

The garden will be relocated to a housing complex in Seoul, Korea, scheduled to open to the public in August 2026.
