Monoculture

With this style, you specialise in one crop that you are particularly fond of and strive for perfection

apple treeEnthusiasts often use an allotment for their hobby; there are plenty of plots given over to blooms for showing, with perhaps a little breeding activity as well. Others might plant up fruit collections, or a vineyard for home winemakers.

This allows people to experience the joys of gardening even though they might not own a garden. Other allotment-holders are often rather proud of these specialists, especially if, as is often the case, their hardworking owners have won renown far and wide for their perfect blooms and produce.
