Vigorous, twining, evergreen climber about 10m tall, with elliptic polished dark green leaves to 16cm long. White, cream or yellow long-stalked, scented flowers composed of up to 25 sepals, 2.5cm long are produced in summer and followed by very large clusters of scarlet-red berries in autumn
