Erica can be prostrate or erect, evergreen shrubs with fine, needle-like leaves in whorls, and racemes or panicles of small, bell-shaped or tubular flowers
'Myretoun Ruby' is a prostrate evergreen shrub to 15cm in height and 45cm wide, with dark green foliage and racemes of deep rose-pink to magenta flowers from winter to spring
