Visitor and Membership Services

Ensure people in our community feel welcome, well-informed and able to make the most of the amazing experiences on offer

Giving a warm welcome

We are the teams that make sure RHS members and everyone who visits our gardens have the best customer experience. Join us and you could be involved in a variety of activities. In the Membership Services team, you could be doing anything from answering calls and emails from RHS members and the general public to helping someone new to the RHS choose the best membership for them.

In the Visitor Services team, a typical day could be welcoming visitors from the moment they come through our gates, to helping them get around our gardens or shows. You could be organising group visits, including welcoming school parties. With so much going on, you’ll learn something new every day. And you’ll be part of a close-knit and supportive team, with colleagues who are always happy to help you out.

Our Visitor and Membership Services teams

Visitor Services

We’re the team that helps make every RHS visit memorable – 50 staff and 70 volunteers in the Visitor Services team welcome thousands of visitors to the five RHS Gardens and various flower shows each year. We’re focussed on looking after every part of their visit. That means managing the car parks and dealing with tickets. Recruiting new RHS members and running vehicles for people who need help getting around. Working with coach operators and leading guided tours. Even handling the post and dealing with feedback.

Membership Services

Join this team and you could be working in our call centre, dealing with phone calls, emails and letters from our members and the public. You may support us with queries like how to navigate our website, give information on the latest events, or advice on how to buy flower show tickets. You could also be involved in updating and maintaining our growing membership database. It’s an exciting time to join us as we’re modernising our ways of working, making major investments in a new membership database and introducing new communications tools.
