Andrew Oldham
Full time, salary up to £25k

I trained at the BBC as a broadcast journalist and researcher. I have written for Sainsbury’s Magazine, Kitchen Garden, The Guardian, Gardening for Disabled Trust website and been an Ask the Expert for Grow Your Own. After a spinal accident in my 20s I was prescribed gardening to aide my recovery and I haven’t looked back.

There is a difference between being passionate about gardening and making others passionate about gardening. Don’t be afraid to develop that skill, it is different for everyone.

I have been a time-travelling blogger in my Dig for Victory and Victorian gardens (lifeonpigrow.co.uk) and through themI have reached half a million readers / gardeners and have been afforded the opportunity to work with and train with community-growing groups and growers across the UK.

I am a passionate advocate for disability rights in gardening and making growing-your-own accessible to all.
