To celebrate Wild About Gardens Week we are exploring all things noctural during half term this year. Learn about which animals come out at night. Enjoy hedgehog themed crafts, follow the 'Creatures of the Night' self-guided trail around the garden, see live owls, make a hedgehog house and have your face painted. Essex Badger Group and Essex Bat Group will also be on site to answer questions at certain times through the week.

For all activities, if you are not a member, normal garden admission applies. Session times for hedgehog crafts: 10.30am, 11.45am , 1.15pm & 2.30pm £2 per child bookable on arrival. Live owl display Monday and Tuesday 10am - 3pm no booking required Hedgehog House workshop - Wednesday 10.15am & 11.45am booking required - see separate entry Face painting on Friday 10am-3pm ( £3 per child) Essex Bat Group and Essex Badger Group will be here at times during the week
