I am hooked every time with the fascinating process of creating new plants from small beginnings.

I have worked at Rosemoor for nearly 11 years and I was a volunteer for just over 2 years before that so I have seen quite a few changes as the garden has grown and developed.

I work on the nursery here growing all of the plants that are used in the garden, it was worked out that we probably have a through-put of some 25,000 plants a year, with all of the bedding and vegetables as well as the plants for the rest of the garden; so enough to keep us busy!

I studied first for NVQ level 2 in amenity horticulture and I then followed this up with studying RHS level 3 half of which I taught myself on those long winter evenings when you can’t get out in the garden.

As it happens the thing that I enjoy most about gardening , other than sitting back and enjoying what  has been created is also part of my job  – I love propagating plants whether it is seed sowing or taking cuttings I am hooked every time with the fascinating process of creating new plants from small beginnings and watching them grow.
