Relax and stay a while

Whether you’re just getting your day started on a visit to the garden, having a lunchtime treat or an afternoon pitstop, the Bridgewater Café offers a range of tasty dishes. Menus are created around seasonal produce and change regularly to bring you exciting dishes – below shows a few examples.

In the morning

Slice of cake and a coffee

Indulge in a hot Lancashire oven bottom breakfast muffin (Grandad’s Sausages or vegetarian option available), or a slice of cake or patisserie, freshly baked in-house daily. Choose from our range of hot drinks from great local suppliers including Salford Roasters Coffee and Tea from the Manor.

A hearty lunch

Tomato soup

Choose from soup and freshly-prepared sandwiches or our curated seasonal menu of hot dishes and salads. All made with seasonal produce from our Kitchen Garden, complemented by locally produced artisan beers, wines and spirits.

Salmon sandwiches

Bring your little gardeners for lunch – children can build their own picnic from our fresh range or if they’d like to try something from the menu, smaller portions are also available.

In the afternoon

Scone and jam

Relax over a cup of tea or coffee with delicious scones and local jam, or indulge in a cake or pastry freshly baked in-house daily. Visitors to the café can also enjoy their coffee outdoors with a view of the garden from the Meadow View Terrace.
