In this workshop led by Anne Gunning, we look at 6 design rules which can help to transform your garden that is not just practical but beautiful too.

You will see examples of these principles and then have a walk around RHS Garden Bridgewater to see how these principles have been applied in our fabulous gardens.

This workshop is suitable for gardeners of all abilities, and is also good for maintenance gardeners who want to give their client some design ideas.

Tutor: Anne Gunning - A highly experienced tutor with over 25 years of teaching RHS Level 2 and 3 qualifications. With a background in running a successful garden design business, Anne combines professional expertise with a passion for sharing knowledge. She also spent 7 years as an RHS Community Outreach Advisor, working closely with diverse groups to make horticulture accessible and inspiring.

Location and arrival information: The workshop will take place initially in the Learning Studios within the Welcome Building and will also include a walk in the gardens.  

Catering: Tea and coffee are available on arrival 

For this workshop, you will need:
  • Your booking reference number to show to the team at the Garden Entrance. 
  • A notebook and a pencil to make notes.
  • Bring a waterproof coat or suitable outer layer, as part of this workshop will be spent outdoors in the garden.
Skill Level: General – I want to enjoy, discover or learn from this workshop, regardless of my existing skill level.
