Special Event
Following on from the success of last year’s Summer Music Sunday, we are once again inviting you to join us at RHS Garden Bridgewater for 2026. Immerse yourself in the perfect blend of nature and melody. Join us on Sunday 21 June for an afternoon of music. Picture yourself in a comfy chair in the surroundings of the Garden. Sit back and enjoy the warm sunlight whilst partaking of light refreshments and tapping a finger or a toe to the music. You are more than welcome to get out of your seat and dance too! This time round, we’ll be joined by Mancunian music-maker Ellen Beth Abdi, who uses live loops, pokey drums, undulating synths and quietly subversive lyrics to mould her unique sound. ‘Wonky soul-infused pop with a social conscience’. Her self-produced, eponymous debut album was independently released in May 2025 to critical acclaim, receiving radio support from BBC Introducing, Radio 3 (Soweto Kinch), Radio 6 (Guy Garvey, Huw Stephens, Lauren Laverne, Craig Charles) and NTS (Macca, SNO). Whether you are a music enthusiast, a nature lover, or someone seeking a leisurely Sunday escape, this event is organised with you in mind. Bring your friends and family, or enjoy some solo time as you revel in the Garden’s relaxing ambience. Bring a picnic blanket or an outdoor chair, and a packed lunch, or enjoy food and drink from the Bridgewater café, the Stables café, or the Shepherds Hut.
The RHS is the UK’s gardening charity, helping people and plants to grow - nurturing a healthier, happier world, one person and one plant at a time.
