Absolute Beginners: Low Cost Gardening

Gardening doesn’t have to be expensive. At RHS Garden Bridgewater we believe anyone and everyone should be able to garden, regardless of circumstances. With a little creative thinking, you can garden within any budget. The RHS Gardening Advice Team are running a Low Cost Gardening course to begin 2025 to enable new gardeners to have a great start to gardening in the new year without it having a negative impact on finances. This workshop for Absolute Beginners will cover:

• propagation from seeds, cuttings and existing plants
• how to make smart plant choices for your garden
• how to make your own compost
• low cost techniques for keeping plants healthy
• re-using, re-cycling and up-cycling tips
• plant and seed swaps, and bargain plant hunting!

The Low Cost Gardening workshop is suitable for Adults, and aimed at those new to gardening. If you love to grow plants, consider yourself a gardener, and don’t let your budget hold you back.
