Terms and Conditions of Sale applicable to Group Visits

Terms and conditions

Terminology

In these terms and conditions the following words have the following meanings:

  • Group: is a minimum of 15+ paying visitors (excluding any coach driver, any Member(s) of the RHS and RHS Member guest)
  • Member of the RHS: means any individual who has taken out Membership of the RHS and so has an RHS Membership Card
  • Organiser: an organiser of a group/club/society visit
  • RHS Gardens: are those Gardens owned and managed by The Royal Horticultural Society, registered charity number 222879/SC038262, namely RHS Garden Wisley, RHS Garden Rosemoor, RHS Garden Harlow Carr, RHS Garden Hyde Hall and RHS Garden Bridgewater
  • Visit: is an individual visitor’s admission to one of the RHS Gardens as part of a Group
  • Visitor(s): are any persons entitled to visit RHS Gardens, whether as part of a Group or otherwise
Group visit ticket sales

The RHS offers reduced price entry to RHS Gardens for Groups where the following process has been followed and conditions satisfied:

  • Application for admission of a group to an RHS Garden is by completion and submission of a Booking Form supplied by the RHS, or via e-mail [email protected] or telephone with the Visitor Services Team on 0207 821 3170
  • On receipt of this booking, the RHS may provide a written Offer Letter which sets out the price, non-refundable deposit required, date, Garden and number of Visitors who will be admitted
  • Should the terms of the Offer Letter, and these terms and conditions, be acceptable to the Organiser, any applicable deposit should be paid in full by the date set out in the Offer Letter
  • Where the deposit is requested and is not paid in full by the date set out in the Offer Letter, the Offer Letter will expire
  • The balance, as set out in the Offer Letter, is due for payment on the day of the visit

Payments are to be made by cash (to the relevant garden), credit card (by telephone 0207 821 3170), or by bank transfer using the below details. Cheques will only be accepted as payment for non-refundable deposits and only if more than 14 days in advance of the visit and should be sent to the garden directly, care of the Visitor Services team.

Please note: No other offer can be used in conjunction with the group rate for entry to the garden. Each visitor within the Group will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions.

The offer contained in the Offer Letter, and any RHS Garden visit contain within, may not be assigned, transferred or re-sold in any manner whatsoever without the prior written agreement of the RHS.

Entry
  • The number of visitors set out in the Offer Letter will be admitted to RHS Gardens upon presentation of the Offer Letter and proof of payment of the deposit and proof of payment of the balance
  • Visitors enter our Gardens at their own risk and children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Animals other than registered guide dogs or assistance dogs are not permitted within the gardens
  • Attendants cannot be provided but one companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, visually impaired visitor or other person whose disability necessitates a carer. Such companion tickets must be mentioned at the time of ticket purchase and cannot be applied for in retrospect

The general terms and conditions applicable to online ticketing, as updated from time to time, will apply to all visits.

Cancellation
  • Visits or additional services which are cancelled by the RHS for any reason are fully refundable
  • Visits or additional services which are cancelled by the Organiser within 72 hours of the date of visit, for any reason are not refundable
Marketing

The Organiser may use images of RHS Gardens supplied by the RHS for the purposes of promoting the specific Group visits only, subject to:

  • The prior written agreement of the RHS
  • The image being identified as the relevant RHS Garden
  • The RHS copyright of such images being duly recognised

Jurisdiction

These conditions are subject to English law and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Additional services
  • Additional services, such as catering or guided tours, are sold subject to availability and are as set out in the Offer Letter
  • Additional non-refundable deposits may be required to secure such additional services and if required will be detailed in the Offer Letter
  • Some additional services may be provided by third parties, in which case they will be by separate agreement with that third party, whose terms and conditions will apply
