'Piilu' is a vigorous, medium-sized deciduous climber. The first flush of flowers in late spring are usually double or semi-double with the second in late summer being single and sometimes paler in colour. All flowers are pale pink, each petal with a dark-pink central band and the central boss is made up of creamy-white to pale yellow anthers

How to Grow

Cultivation

Plant in a sheltered position in moisture-retentive, well-drained soil, with the roots and base of the plant kept cool and shaded by other plants or a layer of pebbles at the base. Plant with the crown 5-8cm deep to encourage new shoots to grow from below ground level. See clematis cultivation
