Clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with mid-green, lance-shaped leaves and terminal clusters of deep magenta-red flowers on 75cm tall stems, the inner petals have dark brown flecks and streaks and the upper two a small yellow blotch, flowering from summer to autumn
