A late, dessert apple with yellow, conical fruit with red stripes, an orange-red flush and scattered russetting. The cream flesh has a fairly dry texture, and an aromatic, nutty flavour. Spreading, part tip-bearing trees produce a good crop in mid-autumn, the fruit storing to early spring. Requires a group 2, 3 or 4 pollinator

How to Grow

Cultivation

Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
