Rounded, deciduous thorny shrub to 1.5m in height, with mid-green, rounded, glossy leaves. Clusters of single orange-pink, cup-shaped flowers are produced in spring on bare branches, followed, in autumn, by aromatic green fruits that ripen to yellow. These can be used to make jams and jellies but please see notes on toxicity for further advice
