A deciduous shrub with an upright habit, 3m tall by 2.5m wide, with broadly oval-shaped green leaves turning to yellow, with a blush of light maroon, in autumn. The spidery petals of sulphur yellow are twisted, curled, and heavily crimped. These bright, early flowers appear from early winter through to mid-winter, and make up for the lack scent
