A reasonably compact, deciduous, mound-forming, herbaceous perennial, with green, lobed foliage, marbled with paler green, on somewhat lax stems to 45cm (18in) high and 60cm (24in) across. In summer, saucer-shaped, pale-blue flowers with a white eye and dark purple veins that almost seem luminous especially at dusk, appear in profusion above the foliage.

Cultivation
