An upright, clump-forming cormous perennial with narrow, grass-like green foliage. Pale, silvery lilac-purple to red-purple flowers open to reveal orange centres, appearing from February to March as the leaves emerge. Great for naturalising amongst dwarf grasses and tolerant of shade, so performs well in woodland areas too. Great for pollinating insects that are active at this time of the year
