A compact, clump-forming, evergreen perennial to about 30cm with lobed, rounded leaves opening yellow-orange and maturing to yellow-green, with darker veins and a silvery sheen. Dark red, upright stems carry spikes of small, yellow-green flowers from late spring to early autumn

How to grow
Cultivation
Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in sun or partial shade. The woody rootstock tends to lift out of the ground so mulch annually or lift and replant every few years
